Outreach and Benevolence FPC supports five local organizations with regular financial contributions:  The Monroe County Ministerial Association, Community Care, Inc., Monroe County Habitat For Humanity, The Pregnancy Center, and Hospice of Central Georgia.  There is opportunity for direct involvement as a volunteer in any of these organizations. Every year we offer a modest scholarship to a graduating senior from both Mary Persons High School and Monroe Academy.  The scholarship amount is determined by contributions from the congregation and is awarded according to applicants’ financial need and educational intent.  Donations to this scholarship fund can be made year round. Each year the youth of the congregation along with adult leaders, go on a work mission trip.  For the past seven years we have gone to the Sunset Gap Community Center in eastern Tennessee doing home repairs in the surrounding community and improvement projects at the center.   This trip is made possible through fundraisers and contributions.
